    Description

    This Goss vase has “AD MOREM VILLR DE POOLE” in a banner on a crest on the front, with “POOLE” under that. On the bottom it says “Model of Roman Vase Found in the “Gloaca” Now in Colchester Castle” and under that is an eagle with “W.H.Goss”. The vase is 2 inches tall and 3 inches across. There are no chips, cracks or crazing, but the second “POOLE” on the front is a bit faded on the last letters and there's a tiny spot on the front that seems to be under the glaze. A nice example from this collectible company!
