Vintage Gamewell Fire Alarm Call Box Amsterdam NY #615. Condition is "Used". Recently removed from service. I think cities should keep these working for back up communications but who am I to say. Unit is open as seen but does not come with key. It’s easy to swap locks or remove the locking tang on these boxes but leaving that up to the buyer. I didn’t wipe or clean this up at all but I’d guess it would polish up with a cleaning. Ask any questions before purchasing, no returns accepted. Sold as is. Please be sure to carefully look at the images (in full size) of this unit before purchase. I tried to get a picture from every angle to show as many imperfections as possible but can take more pictures if wanted for potential buyers.
On a recent sale of one of these fireboxes the buyer did a restoration. It came out really nice. Upon request I could ask them if they would be interested in being in contact with you to discuss providing that as an after sale 3rd party service. They may or may not be willing. The same buyer had a company create reproduction “Emergency” stickers based upon the existing stickers.
