Vintage,4" diameter, steel alarm bell. Unbranded. Fire? School?

This is a single, vintage, alarm bell.  Could've been used at a Fire Station or a School (change classes type of bell), or anywhere else that would've used a 4", steel bell.  The domed cover unscrews and lifts off to expose the working components.  There are also 2 screws that you can use to attach the bell to a wall.  Everything seems to be present, but I do not know the actual working condition of the bell until you get it hooked up.  The bell is 2" high (deep...) and has some scratches and wear to the surface of the metal.  The interior of the bell has slight rust spotting and some dust bunnies.  Both springs are still present (inside the bell) and seem to be in good condition.
I have tried to describe any issues with this item as much as possible.  I can post additional photos upon request and will try to answer any questions you might have that weren't addressed above.  If you want to purchase more than one item, let me know and I will wait until your purchases are complete, then I will send a single invoice with one shipping charge.
