    Description
    I just purchased this vintage Kastrup Holmegaard vase from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The piece was designed by Otto Brauer for the Danish glassworks as part of his "Gulvvase / Floor Vase" series which was introduced in 1962. The line was produced in (5) sizes, this is the middle 15" example which measures 6" wide. The vase is done in Amber / "Brown" which shows rich color and nice clarity (no cloudiness or mineral water staining). The piece is in very good condition with no damage, there is some fine shelf / contact wear on the underside foot ring. This handsome Amber Gulvase would make a nice addition to your collection of vintage Holmegaard art glass or Mid Century / Danish Modern inspired décor.
