    Offered for sale is
    Heirloom Cotton Batiste from Arthur Johnson.  This is a very fine 60" wide 100%
    combed cotton fabric that is most often used in French Heirloom sewing by machine.  We currently offer this fabric in two colors--white and ivory.  (As stated above, the manufacturer now makes this fabric in a 60" width rather than the 44"/45" previously--a 33% increase in the amount you receive per yard.)
    *Please note* We are out of the blush color and have been unable to get it from the supplier. If and when the supplier stocks this color again, we will make it available to you asap!
    This fabric has a very soft hand for use in sewing doll clothes, slips, ladies blouses, etc. When the supplier of our Victorian batiste no longer carried the product, we purchased this fabric from another supplier to try out.  It has a lighter hand than the Victorian batiste, but could be used in many of the same projects.  It doesn't have the sheen of a Swiss batiste--it is more like a light weight cotton lawn.
    The sample shown in the pictures is the blush color sewn with white entredeux.  I used a size 60 needle and size 80wt. cotton thread and spray starched both the fabric and the entredeux before stitching.
    We carry a selection of French Heirloom laces in both white & ivory.  We also off
    er Swiss Entredeux in both white & ivory, and Mettler 60/2 and Madeira 80 wt heirloom sewing thread in colors to match the fabrics along with machine needles.
