It is from the time period when Gamewell call boxes were used to determine the area where the fire was and a telegraph signal was sent back to the station ... ... It has a brass or bronze bell and brass operating parts .. .. The base is oak wood about 9 1/4" long by 5" wide ... .... To the top of the acorn nut for the bell is about 8" high ... ...
