    Description

    This is really an unusual antique collectible. The brass bell is in the style of a boxing bell, or school or even firehouse. It is approximately 5” across. The base of the bell and the workings are iron. On one side. Impressed into the metal it says “ABBES” I think and on the other it says “Patent”. If there is a date it is under the bell and I can’t see it. This is all mounted on a hexagon wooden base with a hole on the back so that it can be hung. The bell has a great ring sounded by pulling down a ring at the bottom of the iron. It’s a little hard to pull but there is a hole in it so that a string can be inserted. The brass bell has a lovely patina.
