Back Inscription: Children could farm on the living room floor after scale-model John Deere toys debuted in 1946. The “A” was the first toy, and was based on the 16-hp tractor produced from 1934-1952. It pioneered adjustable wheel tread width, and a one piece transmission case that provided high under-axle crop clearance.
