SUPERB LARGE VINTAGE HOLMEGAARD GLASS "KLUK KLUK" DECANTER IN A KINGFISHER BLUE COLOUR  A FABULOUS DESIGN ICON THAT WOULD MAKE A GREAT ADDITION TO ANY MID CENTURY OR MODERNIST INTERIOR DESIGN SCHEME.  THE DECANTER IS A JACOB BANG DESIGN.
The Kluk-Kluk decanter draws its name from the noise it makes when liquid is poured, noise that is amplified by this bottle. Initially used only for schnapps, this bottle is very popular in Denmark, and over time, it was produced by Holmegaard in a myriad of shapes, sizes, and colors. The first Kluk-Kluk designed by Jacob Bang was produced in 1928 but Bang kept revisiting the piece. This model was probably designed in the late 1950s. Both decanters have their original stopper.  Both are in nice condition though the small one appears to have an inclusion or imperfecxtion in the glass.  I cannot feel it from the outside.  Size of the large decanter is just under 11 inches tall and the smaller one is just under 10 inches tall.  Neat vintage pieces handblown with pontil mark on the bottom. Great blue color.
